If you’ve been following me for more than a few months, you know about my recent lifestyle changes and lean toward exercising and eating better. While it hasn't been easy, boy has it been worth it! As of today (2/4/23), I am down 30 pounds and have managed to lower my LDL (‘bad’ cholesterol) from 124 to 105. One thing I continue to ask myself when continuing to swap ingredients and snacks in my home- CAN I MAKE THIS MYSELF? Can I make this using less or better ingredients than what’s on this label? HOMEMADE. While homemade doesn’t always mean healthier, it does give you the power to make those decisions, and that is a beautiful thing. You have the option, for example, to give your family a lower sodium, sugar-free or trans-fat free meal if you so choose.
